Jodhraj Mohan Lal

Jodhraj Mohan Lal is located on S.P. Mukherjee Road. It is an old part of the city and the road is always full of life, with people walking by and vendors calling out. Our building has been here for years and you can tell by the way the paint has weathered over time. Inside, we have our stacks of goods and the old wooden desks where we do the accounting. We don’t use much technology besides the basics, preferring to keep things the way they have always worked for us. There is a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit but it keeps the air moving on those stagnant afternoons. We spend our mornings checking the arrivals and making sure everything is where it should be. It can be a bit chaotic when several things happen at once, but we just take it one step at a time. The shelves are packed with items and there is a specific way we organize everything that only we really understand. S.P. Mukherjee Road is a busy place to be, and sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear the person across the room. We don't mind though, as it's just the environment we are used to. We have been part of this neighborhood for a long time and we just continue with our daily routine of trade and talk. It’s just what we do every day without much fuss or bother.
