We are based out in Sherpur Khelmow. It’s a bit different from the city offices you see. Jivamrit Organic Farmer Producer Company Ltd is really just about the people who work the land around here. We spend a lot of time outside or in the storage sheds. It isn't a corporate environment with suits and ties. Most of us are more comfortable in the fields than behind a desk. We deal with organic produce and help the local farmers get their stuff to market. There’s always dirt under someone’s fingernails and the smell of the earth nearby. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine for guests. If you come to visit, you'll probably find us sorting through bags or talking about the weather and the crops. It’s a collective effort. We all have a stake in how things turn out. Sometimes the harvest is good, and sometimes it's a struggle. That’s just farming. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just what’s necessary to keep things organized. We are just a group of people trying to make a living from what we grow. It’s hard work, but it feels right. We keep things simple and honest, just like the food we produce here in Sherpur Khelmow. Every season brings its own set of problems, but we work through them together as a group. We don't have a big marketing plan, just good crops and some grit.
