SHEOHAR NIDHI LIMITED

If you ever find yourself walking through Narwara Bazar in Sheohar, you’ll likely pass right by our office. Sheohar Nidhi Limited is located in Ward No. 1, right where all the noise of the market is. It gets quite loud outside with the tractors and the shouting from the vendors, but inside we try to keep things organized. We started this because people in Narwara needed a place close to home to handle their savings. Most of our members are the same people selling vegetables or running small shops just down the street. We don’t have any slick suits or expensive furniture. There’s a desk, some plastic chairs, and a metal cupboard for the files. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people show up at once, but we make it work. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to tell people to wait a minute while the page loads. Nobody seems to mind much since they’re usually busy chatting about the crops or the weather anyway. We handle the deposits and help out with small bits of credit when someone is in a pinch. It’s basic, honest work. We live right around here, so we see everyone at the temple or the grocery store. Being in the middle of the bazar makes it easy for folks to drop in after they finish their shopping for the day. It’s just how things go in our little town.
