S L News is located in New Gokul Wadi, over in the Shivpur Jao area. We are really close to the Shiv Mandir, so we hear the temple bells ringing every morning and evening, which is a nice way to keep track of the time. The neighborhood is quite old and the streets are a bit narrow, so it can be a squeeze if two cars try to pass each other. We set up our office here because it’s right in the heart of the community. People are always walking by on their way to the temple, and many of them stop in to tell us what’s happening on their street. It is a small place, mostly just a couple of rooms with old wooden desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don’t have any fancy neon signs, just a simple name on the door. It gets a bit damp during the monsoon season, and we have to be careful with the papers. Usually, the office is a mess of notebooks and half-finished tea cups. We aren't trying to be some big corporate media outlet; we just write about what matters to the folks living around Shivpur Jao. It’s a quiet life for the most part, punctuated by the local festivals and the daily gossip from the neighbors. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the faces that pass by our window every day and it feels right to be part of the area.
