Sugani Textiles is located in Islampur, over in the Nalanda district. The place is run by Kedar Narayan Singh, who is the son of the late Sachida NAND Singh. We are based in Gourav Nagar, specifically on the Post Office Road near Nahar Par. It’s a decent-sized house that we’ve converted to handle our textile work. We don’t have a big factory or anything like that. It’s more of a local operation where we manage everything from the front rooms and the courtyard. Being near the post office makes it easy for people to find us, which is good because we don't have any big signs. The atmosphere here is pretty relaxed most of the time. We have a few people from the neighborhood who come in to help with the packing and sorting. We don't use any complicated jargon or marketing talk. We just focus on the fabrics we have and make sure they get where they need to go. Islampur is a busy town, but our street is a bit away from the main noise, so we can get our work done in peace. Sometimes we sit out on the porch and have tea while waiting for a delivery. It’s a very human way to run a business. We aren’t looking to become some giant corporation; we just want to keep things going as they have been for years in our family.
