Khakhrapaan Producer Company Limited is based in a small village called Panchkosra, in the Khakhra Tola area of Sheikhpura. Our address is House No 238, and Mahtura Prasad is the one who looks after things. We are a producer company, which means we work closely with the land and the local farmers. In our part of Bihar, people have been growing things the same way for generations. We just wanted to organize ourselves a bit better. Our work involves a lot of time out in the fields or in the storage area checking on the crops. It’s dusty and hot, and the work is never really finished. There is always something to plant, harvest, or sort. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy logo on our shirts. Most of the time, we are just wearing our everyday clothes and working alongside everyone else. The roads to Khakhra aren't the best, so getting things in and out can be a real struggle sometimes, especially when it rains. But that is just life in the village. We focus on what we can produce right here in our own soil. It’s a group effort, and everyone puts in their share of the work. We aren't looking for awards or anything like that. We just want to make sure the producers get a fair deal for their hard work. It's a tough life, but it’s ours.
