Glocal Hospital

Working at Glocal Hospital means being right on the edge of the NH 31 at Shusil Nagar Chowk. We are near the Reliance Petrol Pump, which is a big landmark for anyone driving through. Since we are near the highway, the building gets quite dusty from all the trucks and buses passing by. We are constantly wiping down the windows and the desks. The location is a bit isolated compared to the city center, but it’s right there for anyone on the road. The hospital is a plain, square building. Inside, the rooms are quite large, and the ceilings are high. There is a lot of space, but it often feels a bit empty until a bus pulls in nearby. We have a view of the petrol pump and the highway from the front windows. At night, the lights from the trucks flash across the walls. The staff stays in the small canteen during breaks, drinking tea and watching the traffic on NH 31. It’s a different vibe from a city hospital; it feels more like a rest stop sometimes. We don't have fancy furniture, just the basics like metal beds and plastic chairs. The air always smells a bit like diesel and rain. It’s a practical spot for a hospital to be. We just keep the gates open and wait for whoever needs us to come through. It's a simple life out here by the chowk.
