Down here in Vill-Kushma, life moves at its own pace. My name is Jagatpal Bharti and this is Babubasant Construction. We are located in the Dihkusumbha area of Sheikhpura. This business started as a way to handle the building needs around the local villages here like Ghatkeshambha. We don't have a team of hundreds, just a few of us who know how to get a building up. I spend most of my time making sure we have what we need for the current job. It's construction, so there is always something that needs fixing or a plan that needs a quick change. We work with the materials we can get and try to do right by the people who hire us. Some of the guys have been with me for a long time now. We know these roads and these fields like the back of our hands. It's a bit dusty and the sun can be brutal, but we keep at it. We aren't looking to be the biggest name in Bihar, just a reliable one for our neighbors. If you come by the village and ask for us, anyone can point you toward the house. We do our own thing, keep our heads down, and focus on the bricks and mortar. It is a plain way of living but it works for us and the people we help. We don't need much else besides a good day of work.
