Anisha Charitable Foundation

We are located in Apartment 402 of the Niharika building. It is right on Bailey Road in the Sheikhpura area. Being in an apartment means it is a bit quieter than being on the ground floor, but we are still right in the middle of everything. Anisha Charitable Foundation is basically just a few rooms where we keep our files and meet people. Bailey Road is always busy with traffic, but once you come up to the fourth floor, it gets a bit more peaceful. We started this because we saw a lot of things in the city that needed a bit of attention. It is not a huge operation. We mostly focus on the people living around Sheikhpura. Sometimes we have volunteers coming in and out, which makes the place feel a bit cramped, but we make it work. The elevator in the building is a bit slow sometimes, so we end up waiting a lot in the lobby. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. Most people find us through word of mouth. It is just a practical way to help out without making a big fuss. We spend our mornings going through requests and our afternoons trying to get out into the streets. It is honest work and we like being in this part of town. The view from the window shows a lot of the city, which reminds us why we are doing this. It is just us trying to be helpful.
