Vijay Industries

We are tucked away right behind the Perfect Weigh Bridge. It’s a bit of a landmark for people trying to find us since the road can get a little confusing if you aren't from around here. Vijay Industries has been operating out of this workshop for a long time. It’s a noisy place with the sound of metal hitting metal and the trucks rumbling by to get weighed. We mostly focus on small-scale manufacturing and repairs. Our tools are old but they still work just fine for what we do every day. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but that doesn't stop us from getting the work done. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work on various parts. It’s just a handful of us here, and we’ve all known each other for years. We don't really do much advertising because we mostly get work from people passing by or neighbors in the industrial area. If a machine breaks down, we spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up. It’s a bit informal, but it works for us. We just like making things and being part of the local community near the weigh bridge. Every day brings a new set of small challenges.
