Shamli Healthcare Foundation sits right on the corner of Kamla Colony. If you are heading down Hospital Road, you can't really miss us. It’s a busy spot because of the location, so there is always someone walking by or a car honking. Vipin Sangal runs things here. The building isn't brand new or anything, but it serves its purpose for the health work we do here. Being on a corner means we see everything that happens on the street. It’s a good place to be if you want to be where the people are. We spend our mornings getting things ready and the afternoons are usually a bit of a rush. There's a lot of coming and going. The air smells like the city and the tea stall nearby. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big lobby. It’s more of a practical setup. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait their turn. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded, especially when the weather is bad and everyone wants to be inside. Hospital Road is the main vein here, so we hear sirens and motorcycles all day long. It's just the background noise to our daily routine. We keep our files stacked up and try to keep the dust off the desks. It’s a local operation through and through. Nothing too complicated about it. We just show up and do what needs doing. We’ve been at this corner for quite a while now and the locals know us.
