We are out at 911 in the Industrial Area, right by the 6th Milestone on the road between Shamli and Panipat. It is a bit out of the way, but that’s where you have to be for this kind of work. At Carrier Wheels, we spend our days making heavy wheels for trucks and farm equipment. The factory is a big, noisy place with metal everywhere and the smell of welding in the air. It gets very hot during the summer months, and the dust from the Panipat road seems to find its way into everything. We have a small office at the front where we do all the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. Our workers mostly come from the villages nearby, and we’ve been working together for a long time. The commute can be a bit of a pain when the weather is bad because the road gets flooded or muddy. We don't have a fancy lobby or any marketing banners hanging up. If a customer comes by, they usually just find us in the back with grease on our hands. We focus on making sure the wheels are balanced and the steel is solid. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we know how to do. We usually just keep our heads down and try to get all the orders out by the end of the week.
