Akshaya Plastics

Our setup is located out at Survey No:595 in Babaguda Village, which falls under the Shamirpet Mandal. It is quite a bit away from the main city noise, but we have our own kind of noise here with the plastic molding machines running. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time. Most of our workers live in the nearby villages and walk or cycle in every morning. The work is steady and repetitive. We make different kinds of plastic items, and there is always a bit of a smell of melting plastic in the air. It’s just how it is in this line of work. We have stacks of raw material bags piled up in the yard and crates of finished products waiting for the transport trucks. Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly and we all have to take a break until the backup gets things moving again. It’s a bit frustrating but it gives us a chance to have some tea. The road leading to the village can get pretty muddy when it rains, making it hard for the bigger lorries to get in. We spend a lot of time just maintaining the equipment and making sure the molds are clean. It isn’t a high-tech operation, just honest work in a rural setting. We’ve grown to like the pace out here in Shamirpet even if it feels isolated sometimes. It’s a simple life focused on production.
