Rk Cement

Our place is Rk Cement and we are located right across from the Phoolkhdi Mandir. You can’t miss it if you are driving along A.B. Road in the district. Since we deal with cement, everything here usually has a thin layer of gray dust on it. That’s just how it is when you’re moving bags of building materials all day. The road outside is a main one, so there is always a lot of traffic and people passing through to go to the temple. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. It’s heavy work and keeps us tired by the end of the day. Sometimes people stop their cars near the Mandir and then walk over to ask about prices or how many bags we have in stock. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small desk and a chair where we keep the ledger. The building is basic, just enough to keep the cement dry when it rains. Rain is actually our biggest worry because we have to make sure everything is covered up tight. A.B. Road can get quite muddy during the monsoon season. Most of our days are spent talking to contractors or locals who are fixing up their homes. We’ve seen a lot of houses go up in this area over the years. It’s a plain business but it’s what we do here every single day without much fuss, just making sure people get their bags loaded up.
