Muhsli Bhandar

Muhsli Bhandar is located in Therka Jevar, within the Tehsil Nazora area. We are right near the post office, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to people who aren't from around here. It’s a quiet spot for the most part. Our shop is small and has that old-building smell. We’ve got shelves lined with various items. We don't really have a computer system or anything like that; we just write things down in a big ledger. It’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes we lose our pens and spend ten minutes looking for them. It’s just me and a couple of others here. We know everyone who lives nearby. People stop in not just to buy things, but to tell us the news from the village. It makes the day go by faster. We close up for a bit in the afternoon when it gets too hot. The post office next door is always busy, so we see a lot of people coming and going. We don’t do any advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. Our front door squeaks every time someone opens it, but we never seem to remember to oil it. It’s a modest little place in a modest part of the world. We’re just happy to be part of the community here. Most days are pretty much the same and that's fine.
