Gyan Deep Dall Mill

Gyan Deep Dall Mill is right here in Shajapur, near the railway line phatak. You can hear the trains passing by all day while we work. The mill is close to the post office and the main tehsil office area. We spend most of our time dealing with the machines and the sacks of pulses coming in. It gets pretty dusty inside when the grinders are running, but that is just how a dal mill is. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most people around here know the gate by the tracks. Some days are busier than others depending on the season and what crops are coming from the farms. We mostly keep to ourselves and get the work done. The workers come in early in the morning before it gets too hot. We check the machines, oil them up, and start the processing. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait, which is frustrating but normal for Shajapur. We do not have a fancy office or anything like that. Just the shed and the storage area. If you are looking for us, just head towards the railway crossing and you will see the sign. It is a simple setup with a few people from the neighborhood working here. We try to keep things moving so the bags are ready on time. The floor is always covered in a bit of powder from the lentils. That is about it for our little place here.
