Our office is located right by the 220 K.V Sub Station in the Paina Hydel Colony in Shahjahanpur. Being so close to the sub station means we are right in the middle of the utility area. It’s a bit of a specialized spot. The colony is mostly for the workers and staff connected to the power station, so it has a very specific feel to it. We handle engineering work related to the infrastructure around here. It’s not a fancy office with carpets and air conditioning in every room. It’s more of a functional space where we keep our tools, maps, and project files. The walls are a bit plain, and we have the usual hum of electricity in the background from the station. We’ve been operating from this colony for a while now. Most of the people who come to see us are also working in the same field. We spend a lot of time out on the sites or checking on the equipment nearby. When we are in the office, we’re mostly just catching up on paperwork or planning the next day’s tasks. It’s a quiet life in the colony, and we like it that way. We don't need a big flashy building to do what we do. We just focus on the engineering side of things and make sure the work is finished properly before we head home for the night.
