Out here in Powayan, life moves a bit slower. Our place is in Umariya, Dulatpur. Kulbir Singh is the one in charge. We focus on poultry. Keeping chickens requires a lot of daily patience. You can't hurry the birds along. Most of our time is spent checking the feeders and making sure the sheds stay clean. Shahjahanpur is a decent place for a farm like ours. The air is clear, unlike the city centers. We have several sheds and a small space for keeping the records. It is dusty work, and you have to be comfortable getting your boots dirty. This isn't a factory. It is more of a local farm setup. We focus on the basic tasks like cleaning and checking the health of the birds. Sometimes the transport trucks have trouble on the Dulatpur roads. They aren't always in the best shape. But we always manage to get our birds to the market.
