G L Mills

We are right across the road from the police station in Pakar. It is a busy spot in Bholaganj. Most days we just keep the machines running and try to keep up with the work coming in. G L Mills has been here a while. You can hear the noise from the street. Some people stop by just to chat while they wait. It gets dusty, but that's just part of the job. We don't really do much fancy stuff here. Just the regular milling. Sometimes the police officers come over when it's quiet at their station. The building isn't much to look at, just old bricks and metal. We open early in the morning. My father used to say that if you start late, you never catch up. So we are usually here before the sun is all the way up. It’s a simple living. We know most of the people around here by name. If you are looking for us, just look for the big gate right opposite the station. We handle whatever comes through the door. Sometimes the machines break down and we spend half the day fixing them with grease all over our hands. That’s just how it goes. We try to get things done so people can get on with their day. It’s not a big operation, just a few of us working hard. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just work and keep the place running.
