About Don & Donna Convent School – Education in Shahjahanpur
Our school is at 81 in Shahjahanpur. It is an old building that has seen many batches of students come and go over the years. Most people in the area know the place because it has been around for a long time. The gates open early and the watchman stays busy managing the bicycles and the kids walking in. Inside, the hallways are wide and the ceilings are high, which helps keep things a bit cooler when the sun is out. The desks are the standard wooden ones that get scratched up by students who like to carve their names when the teacher isn't looking. We have a small playground where the grass doesn't grow very well because of all the running and football games. During the rainy season, the yard gets a bit muddy and we have to tell the kids to keep their shoes clean, though they never really listen. The staff room is always full of notebooks that need grading. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment, just the regular blackboards and chalk. Every morning starts with the same assembly and the same songs we’ve been using for years. It’s a very normal school where the main sound you hear is just teachers talking and kids laughing. We have a few trees in the back that provide some shade during lunch breaks. It’s a simple setup for the families living nearby in Shahjahanpur. We just do our best to teach every day and keep the building in good shape.
