If you find yourself in Nigohi, Shahjahanpur, you’ll likely pass by our building. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here. The area is quite traditional, and we fit right into the neighborhood. In the mornings, the street outside gets a bit dusty with all the cycles and people moving about. We open up early to get things ready for the day. There isn’t much in the way of fancy furniture, just the basics that we need to get through the lessons. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon, so we keep the fans going at full speed. People in the village know us well, and we often see parents stopping by just to chat or ask how things are going. It’s a small community feel. We don’t use any complicated systems, just chalkboards and notebooks. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows and keep going with whatever we were doing. It’s honest work. The staff here are all from around this part of Shahjahanpur, so we speak the same way as everyone else. We don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s just a place for learning and spending time together in this small town. At the end of the day, we lock the gates and walk home, just like everyone else on the road. It is just a routine we have lived for years.
