R K Soni & Co is based in Shahganj, right in the Jyoti Hardware Market. We are at Sirkwalan 207. This area is famous for all sorts of hardware and tools. Our shop is just one of many, but we’ve been at this specific spot for a long time. It’s a small space, packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of items. Sometimes I forget where we put certain things because there’s just so much of it. We mostly sell to small builders or people who own workshops nearby. Shahganj is a very old part of town and the streets are always full of activity. You have to be careful walking around because of all the delivery carts. Inside the shop, it’s a bit more organized, but not by much. We have a small wooden desk where we sit and talk to customers. Usually, we offer them water or tea if they are staying for a while to discuss what they need. We don't use any fancy language or try to act like a big corporation. We are just a local hardware company trying to make a living. The work is steady and we see the same faces every week. It’s a good community here in the Jyoti Market. We open early in the morning and don't close until the sun is well down and the market starts to quiet out. It’s just how we’ve always done it and we don't plan on changing much.
