Selfless Organic Foundation

Our place is right near the Satguru Public Higher Secondary School, which everyone around here knows. We are in Banganga, specifically Ward No 12 in Shahdol, Umaria. It’s a nice part of Madhya Pradesh, fairly green if you know where to look. We started this because we were tired of seeing all the chemicals being used in the fields. It just didn't seem right. So, we focus on organic ways of doing things. It isn't easy, to be honest. Sometimes the bugs get the crops or the weather doesn't play nice, but we keep at it. People from the school walk by every day and sometimes they stop in to see what we are growing. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. It’s just a local foundation where we try to keep things natural. My neighbor helps out with the planting sometimes. We spend a lot of time just talking to farmers about how they used to do things before all the store-bought stuff became common. It’s slow work. You can't rush nature, and we don't try to. If you are ever near the school in 484001, you'll probably see us working in the dirt. It’s just us doing what we can for the land here in Shahdol. It’s a simple life and we like it that way, even if it’s hard work. It’s better than sitting in an office all day, that’s for sure. We just hope the next harvest is a bit better than the last one.
