Maa Swaichhik Ash Bricks Private Limited is based out of the Bijuri area. We are located at Babbu Singh’s place in Pandri Pani, along Kapil Dhara Road. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, away from the main city noise. We work with ash bricks, which is a bit different from the traditional red clay ones people usually see. It is a practical way to use the materials we have available. The road leading to our site can be a bit bumpy and rough, especially after a big storm hits. We have been operating here in the Shahdol district for some time now. Our day usually starts very early, before the sun gets too hot for the workers. We don’t have a big management team, just a few of us who know the brick-making process. There isn’t a fancy lobby or a secretary to greet you. Usually, if you want to talk to us about an order, you just walk up to the yard and find someone. We spend a lot of time moving heavy pallets and checking the consistency of the mix. Sometimes the machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon with grease on our hands trying to get it running again. It is frustrating when that happens, but that is just part of the trade. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with big words. We just make bricks for people building their homes.
