Satguru Garments India Private Limited is located right in the thick of things in Gandhi Nagar. If you know Delhi then you know Pratap Gali Chowk gets incredibly crowded. We are at number 213 in Ram Nagar. Working here means dealing with a lot of noise and people moving around all the time. Our building isn't very new but it serves the purpose. We have stacks of garments piled up in almost every corner. It is a bit of a maze inside. We have been doing this for a good number of years. My father started things and now we just carry it on. Gandhi Nagar is the heart of the garment trade so it makes sense for us to be here. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signs. We would rather spend that on getting better materials. Every morning starts with tea and a quick talk about what needs to be packed. The humidity in the summer is tough but the fans keep us going. We deal with all sorts of people from different parts of the country. It is interesting to see what people are buying. We don't make big promises. We just make sure the boxes are filled correctly and sent out on time. It is a busy life but it is what we know. We are just happy to be working in this market.
