S K Y Clothing Llp is tucked away in Jai Mata Gali in the Gandhi Nagar area. Our house number is X/565. If you’ve ever been to Gandhi Nagar, you know the lanes are narrow and always full of people carrying bundles of clothes. We are part of that whole ecosystem. Our place is basically a house that we’ve converted into a workspace. It’s not a modern glass building. It’s a brick-and-mortar spot where we spend our days dealing with textiles. We have a small team of local workers who know the garment trade inside out. There’s usually a lot of chatter and the hum of sewing machines going on. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything. You just walk in and you’re right in the middle of the production. Boxes are stacked up against the walls and there’s fabric everywhere. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work. Living and working in East Delhi means we are close to the suppliers and the big markets. It makes things easier for a small LLP like ours. We don’t do much advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just walking past our door in the lane. We just try to do honest work and keep the business going year after year. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy every single day without needing much more than that.
