Our place, Lakshay Fab India LLP, is situated at C-242 in Suraj Mal Vihar, which is over in the Shahdara area. If you’ve ever been to Shahdara, you know it’s a hub for trade and fabrics. We deal with textiles, so being in this part of Delhi makes a lot of sense for us. The office is just a regular space where we keep our samples and handle the orders. It’s usually a bit messy with fabric swatches and ledger books scattered around. We don’t have a professional decorator or anything. It’s more of a family-style business atmosphere, even if it’s an LLP. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking the quality of the cloth. Some days are really long, especially when we are trying to coordinate with the weavers or the transport guys. Suraj Mal Vihar is a decent neighborhood, and we’ve gotten to know the other business owners nearby. We don't really have a 'vision' or anything like that. We just want to make sure the fabric is good and the customers get what they asked for. It’s a lot of manual checking and phone calls. The traffic in Shahdara can be a nightmare, so we try to get most things done early in the day. It’s just how we work. Nothing fancy, just a lot of cloth and a lot of hard work every single day to keep things moving.
