If you know Gandhi Nagar, you know how tight the streets are. We are right on the Main Road, near the police station, at 9/6086. It’s a prime spot for a plywood business because everyone passes by eventually. The shop is usually full of the smell of sawed wood and glue. We have stacks of plywood everywhere, and sometimes it’s hard to move around when a new shipment comes in from the trucks. Being in East Delhi, it gets very crowded, especially on market days. We’ve got a small team here, and most of us have been working with wood for years. We aren't doing anything fancy; we just sell plywood to people who are building furniture or fixing up their homes. The office part is just a tiny corner with a desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s often dusty because of the nature of the business, but we don't mind. We talk to a lot of carpenters and contractors every day who are looking for specific sizes. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard to load the boards onto the carts, so we have to be quick. We aren't some big brand with a commercial. We are just Jagmohan Plywood, a local shop where we know our customers by name and try to get them what they need without any fuss. The work is physical and tiring, but we’ve been doing it a long time now. We just open up and start the day.
