Inside Design

We are tucked away in A.7/5 over in the Jhilmil Industrial Area. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it suits what we do here at Inside Design. The mornings usually start with the sound of shutters opening all down the block. Our space is mostly taken up by tools and samples, so there isn't much room for a fancy waiting area or anything like that. People usually just drop by when they need something specific made or figured out. Being in an industrial zone means we deal with a lot of dust and the occasional power cut, but we just get on with it. There’s a tea stall at the corner where we spend most of our breaks, talking about the day's projects. We’ve been at this address for a while now and the neighbors know us well. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend money on big signs or glossy brochures because the work in the shop keeps us busy enough as it is. Sometimes the traffic in Jhilmil gets a bit much, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to head home at once. But being here makes sense for us. We have the space we need to move materials around and the right light coming through the front. It’s just a normal workshop where things get built and plans get drawn up on whatever flat surface is clean. We like the grit of the area and the people who work here.
