Freegurus Foundation

Our foundation is based at A 154 on the second floor in Jhilmil Colony. It’s a quiet enough residential area, and our office is tucked away in one of the blocks there. You have to walk up to the second floor to find us. The space is pretty basic, with a few rooms that we’ve turned into our working areas. We don’t have a fancy entrance or a big reception desk with a phone. It is mostly just us sitting around our tables, working on whatever needs attention that day. Jhilmil Colony is a nice place to be, with a good sense of community. We’ve been in this building for some time and the neighbors are all used to seeing us. The office itself is a bit lived-in. The floors are a little scuffed and the shelves are overflowing with books and folders. It’s a real place where real work happens. We don’t worry about making it look like a magazine photo. We focus more on the tasks we have rather than how the office looks to outsiders. There is a small balcony where we sometimes take a break, looking out at the other houses in the colony. It is a very grounded, local way of doing things. We like the fact that it is a simple setup because it keeps us focused on what matters. We are just a group of people in a regular apartment, doing what we can.
