Empowering The World Foundation

We run Empowering The World Foundation out of a room in New Seemapuri, specifically over in Shahdara. Our spot is E-44-B-308. It’s one of those busy buildings where everyone knows everyone else. The halls can be a bit dark, but once you get inside our place, it’s alright. We don’t have much in the way of fancy furniture. Most of what we have is just old desks and some chairs we’ve picked up over the years. We started this because there’s a lot of folks who need a hand and don’t know where to go. Life in Shahdara moves fast, and it’s easy for people to get lost in the shuffle. We try to be the place where they don’t get lost. It’s not a big operation, just a few of us sitting around figuring out how to help. Sometimes we have tea and talk for hours about what needs to change. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the neighbors, but it feels like home to us. We’re not here to make a bunch of money or get famous. We just want to do some good from our little corner in New Seemapuri. It’s simple work, really. People come in with problems, and we try to find a way to fix them. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it takes longer. We’re just here every day, keeping at it and hoping for the best for everyone.
