Aggrawal Auto Center

At Aggrawal Auto Center, we’ve been working out of Plot No. 9/22A in the Shyam Block of Gandhi Nagar for a good while. We’re over in the Shahdara area, not too far from Kailash Nagar, which is a busy part of the city. Our shop is mostly filled with car parts and the smell of old engine oil. It’s a practical place where we spend our days getting our hands dirty. My brother and I handle most of the work ourselves. We don’t have a polished waiting room or a coffee machine for people. Usually, customers just stand around the counter and talk to us while we look for what they need. The shelves are packed with boxes that go all the way up to the ceiling. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific filter or a belt, but we know where most things are. The neighborhood is always noisy with horns and people shouting, but you get used to it after a few years. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s not about being the biggest auto center in Shahdara; it’s just about being here when someone’s car breaks down. We close up when the sun goes down and head home, then do it all over again the next day. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy enough. We don't really bother with flyers or anything like that. We just stay here and work.
