We have been at Plot No. Bg-22 in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar for a long time now. G.T Karnal Road is always busy outside our doors, so we see a lot of trucks and cars passing through the area daily. It gets pretty dusty around here with all the traffic, but we keep the gates open. Most local folks know where the shop is because we have been on this same corner since the transport nagar first got busy. My uncle started this place, and now we just handle the day-to-day work with the vehicles that come in. It is mostly regular maintenance and fixing whatever happens to break. We do not have a fancy waiting room or anything like that for people. There are just some basic chairs and a water cooler in the corner. The mechanics stay busy from the morning until late evening when the traffic finally dies down a bit. Sometimes the yard gets a little crowded, especially on Mondays when everyone is starting their week. We just try to get the jobs done so the drivers can get back on the road. It is hard work, but it keeps us going. If you are coming down the main road, just look for our sign near the main transport hub. We are usually here by 9 AM every day. The tea stall next door is where most of us grab a quick lunch.
