Shobi Yarn Trading Company

Shobi Yarn Trading Company is located in Seohara, which is in the Bijnor district. It is a quiet town compared to the big cities. The building where we work is mostly used for storing large bags and bundles of yarn. It has a bit of an old smell, like wool and dust. We spend a lot of time checking the weight of the bundles and writing down numbers in our ledger books. Seohara is the kind of place where everyone knows what everyone else is doing. The road outside is often dusty, especially when the tractors go past. We have some wooden pallets on the floor to keep the yarn from getting damp. It is a simple setup with just a few desks and some space to move the heavy bags around. We deal with people from the surrounding villages who need yarn for their work. Sometimes we sit outside on stools when the weather is nice and wait for the trucks to arrive from the mills. There isn't much to see inside, just stacks of different colored threads and the scales we use for weighing everything. It is a practical business and we don't try to make it look like anything else. Most days are the same, just counting stock and making sure the orders are ready for whoever is coming to pick them up in the afternoon. It is steady work that keeps us busy from morning until evening.
