P. J. S. Knit Garments

P. J. S. Knit Garments is located on 8th Street in Sengunthapuram. It's easy to find if you know Mangalam Road. The building is number 1/3. We have been working out of this spot for a good while. It's mostly knitting and sewing going on inside. The street gets narrow when the delivery vans come through, so things can get a bit tight. We have a few rows of machines and everyone stays busy with the needles and thread. It is usually hot in the afternoons but the fans help a bit. People in the neighborhood know us as the place where the fabric scraps pile up near the door before the waste truck comes. We don't have a big sign or anything. Just the work happening inside. Some of the guys have been here since they were young. We mostly handle t-shirts and other knit stuff. It's dusty and there is thread everywhere on the floor by the end of the day. We sweep it up and start again tomorrow. Mangalam Road is always busy with traffic, so the noise from the street is always there in the background. We just get on with it. There isn't much to say other than we make garments. It’s a simple setup. We don't use fancy computers for much, just the basic stuff to keep track of what goes out and what comes in. It’s just how we run things here.
