Crofter'S Boon Private Limited

You can find us at Laishram Ibomcha Singh’s house in Wangkhei Lourembam Leirak. It is right in the Ied III area. We have been operating out of this location for a while now. It is a local operation, mostly just a few of us handling the daily tasks. We called the business Crofter’S Boon because we wanted to focus on the small-scale work that happens in our local neighborhood and the areas nearby. It is definitely not a flashy setup. We have a couple of desks, a lot of folders, and usually some tea on the stove. The streets around this part of town can get really crowded, especially when there is a festival going on, but we manage to get our work done. Most of what we do involves connecting local producers with the people who actually need the things they are making. This involves a lot of phone calls and walking around to meet people face-to-face. We don't really bother with the whole internet marketing thing. Word of mouth works a lot better for us. People know Ibomcha and they know where to find the office if they have a question. We try to be honest about what we can handle. If we can't help with a specific request, we will just tell you straight. It is better to be clear like that. We are just trying to build something that lasts and helps people in the community earn a decent living. It is steady work, nothing too exciting.
