Giri Sridhar Organic Estate

Giri Sridhar Organic Estate is situated in Semmedu Village, which is part of the Kolli Hills. It’s quite a journey to get up here, with all the winding roads and the height. Once you reach the village, things slow down a lot. Our estate is mostly just open land and trees. We don't have a big office building or any modern structures at the site. Most of the time is spent outdoors, regardless of whether it’s sunny or raining. The soil here is what we focus on every single day. We walk the rows, check the plants, and handle whatever needs doing by hand. It’s a physical life, and your hands are rarely clean at the end of the day. Semmedu is a small community, so we see the same people every day. There’s no rush like you find in the cities. We have a small shed where we keep the tools and take our breaks when the sun gets too hot. The weather can be unpredictable in the hills, so we have to be ready to change our plans at a moment's notice. It’s not a polished business with a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and the land. We follow the seasons and do the work that needs to be done when it needs to be done. Sometimes it’s quiet, and sometimes it’s a lot of hard labor, but it’s the way we’ve always operated in Kolli Hills. It’s just a regular estate in a quiet village area and we like it that way.
