Starz Pre-School is out in Gram Barkhedi, on the road that goes via Ratibad in Sehore. It’s a bit away from the main noise of the town, which is actually quite nice because it’s peaceful. The school is surrounded by a bit of open land, so there’s plenty of fresh air for the kids when they go outside to play. We have a simple building that houses our classrooms. It’s not fancy, just some basic rooms with enough space for the little ones to move around and learn their ABCs. Because we are a bit further out, many of the children come in from the nearby villages and smaller settlements. The staff here often takes the same road to get to work every morning, seeing the fields change with the seasons. We don’t have any of those high-tech gadgets you see in city schools; we mostly use books, blocks, and our own voices to teach. The playground is just a patch of ground where the kids can run around and get a bit of dirt on their shoes. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere compared to the big city schools. We just focus on getting through the day, making sure everyone is fed and has learned something new. It’s a humble place that fits into the rural landscape of Sehore, providing a spot for local children to gather and grow. The gate has a bit of rust on it from the rain, but it's strong enough.
