Sanskar International School

We've been here in Sehore for a while now. The school is right on the main stretch and if you know 466001, you know it gets quite busy around drop-off time. Most of us here have lived in this town our whole lives. We started Sanskar International School because we saw a lot of families traveling too far for classes. Our building isn't fancy like the ones in big cities but it does the job well. The classrooms have big windows and we try to keep the fans running all day because it gets really hot in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out but the kids just keep working. We have a small playground in the back where the grass gets a bit brown in the summer. Usually, the staff sits together during lunch and we talk about the local news or what's happening at the market. It’s a quiet life here most of the time. We have a gate that creaks a bit when the wind blows hard. My sister actually handles the registrations at the front desk and she knows almost every parent by their first name. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just providing a place for the local kids to spend their day and learn their lessons. Most of our furniture came from a local carpenter down the road. It’s sturdy stuff that has lasted through a lot of noisy students. We just keep things moving one day at a time.
