Mehak Telecom

Mehak Telecom is based in the village of Ashta. You can find us right near the Shah Jama Masjid. It is a very central spot and there is always something happening outside our door. We sell mobile recharges and do small repairs on phones that people bring in. The shop is quite small, so if three people come in at once, it feels very full. We have glass counters where we keep some phone covers and chargers. Most of the day is spent talking to people who come by not just for work, but just to say hello. The masjid is right there, so we hear the call to prayer throughout the day. It gives a rhythm to our work. Sometimes we sit outside on a plastic stool when there are no customers. We have been here in Ashta for a long time. People trust us with their devices because they have known us since we were kids. We do not have any fancy signs or neon lights. Just a simple board with the name on it. If a phone is too broken to fix, we just tell them honestly. We do not like to waste anyone's time. It is a busy little shop but we enjoy the noise and the people. We are just happy to be here doing what we know how to do for the village folks.
