Adhikar Nidhi Limited

Adhikar Nidhi Limited is based in Ichhwar, specifically in Ward Number 8. We’re right in the Yadav Mohalla area, which is part of Mahatma Gandhi Ward. If you know Sehore at all, you know Ichhwar is a tight-knit place. Our office is just a simple room where we manage the local savings and loans. We don’t have any big glass windows or shiny signs. It’s just a place in the mohalla where people feel okay walking in with their dusty shoes. We spend most of our time keeping the records straight and talking to members who come in. Everyone in the neighborhood knows where we are. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when folks are out doing their errands. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. We don’t use a lot of complicated talk; we just explain how the savings work in plain English or Hindi. Sometimes we run out of chairs if too many people come at once. We’re just a small group of local people working for the community here in 466115. It’s not a big corporate operation. We handle the money carefully because we know how hard everyone works for it. Most of our members are our neighbors and friends we've known for years. We just keep the doors open and do the work every day except Sundays.
