Super Cranes

Super Cranes is tucked away over by the Police Stadium in Shahibaug, at C-202 Shilalekh. Being right across from the stadium means there is always something going on nearby. Our office is just a place to keep the logbooks and the keys. The real work is out where the cranes are parked. We spend a lot of time checking the wire ropes and the hooks. Safety isn't a slogan for us; it’s just something we do because we don't want anything falling. The traffic around Shahibaug can be a real pain when we are trying to move a big rig out to a site. We have to plan everything around the busy hours. Some nights we are out late because a job took longer than expected. That is just the nature of crane work. You can't just leave a load hanging. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and the locals know the sound of our engines. My shirt usually has some kind of hydraulic fluid on it by noon. We don't have a lot of time for small talk. If the phone rings, it’s usually someone in a hurry. We grab our gear and get moving. It’s a lot of waiting followed by a lot of heavy lifting. The cranes are big and loud, and that’s exactly how we like them. The machines need a lot of looking after, so when we aren't out on a job, we are right here at C-202 Shilalekh tinkering with them.
