Zaheer Tawakali Mirzai Kirana General Store

This is a basic kirana shop in Hasmathpet. We are at Shop 1-72/5 in the Balanagar area. We keep all the daily things people need like lentils, rice, soap, and cooking oil. It’s a neighborhood store, so we know most of the families who live on this street. The shop is usually busy in the mornings when people are getting stuff for breakfast and again in the evening after work. We spend a lot of time weighing out items and putting them into bags. My family helps out with the counter and keeping the shelves stocked. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful about where we put everything so we don't trip. We don't do any fancy marketing; people just know we are here. Sometimes the kids come in for a single piece of candy or a small packet of chips. We keep a ledger for some of the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It’s a lot of standing and moving around, but it’s good to be part of the community. We see the kids growing up and the neighborhood changing over the years. The Rangareddy district is getting busier, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We just try to make sure we don't run out of the basics like milk, eggs, or salt. It’s just a regular general store doing retail trading for the local folks. We also have some basic snacks and household items that people ask for.
