It’s more of a workshop setup than what you might think of when you hear "flat." We have our machines crammed in there because space is always tight in this part of town. Making dies and moulds is slow work, and you have to be careful about the details. I spend most of my day looking at drawings or checking the dimensions on a piece of metal. It gets pretty dusty, so we are always cleaning off the tables. Prashanthi Nagar is mostly quiet, but our machines do make a bit of a racket when they’re running full speed. We’ve had some of these machines for years and they still run okay if you treat them right. The weather in Hyderabad gets so dry that we have to keep plenty of water around for the staff. We don't have a big sign outside or a receptionist. Usually, if someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes to see who it is. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us so far. We just try to finish the work we promised and move on to the next thing. It’s just how we earn our living here.
