Universal Springs

You can find us over at Plot No. 4 in Padmashali Colony, right across from Praga Tools Ltd. It’s a bit of a tricky spot to find if you’re not used to these lanes, but once you see the big industrial buildings, you’re close. We make all sorts of springs here. The workshop is always noisy with the sound of wire being bent and machines clicking away. It’s a greasy job, and the floor usually has some metal shavings on it no matter how much we sweep. We have been at this address for quite some time now. It’s a small crew of us working here. We don’t have a front office with a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will come over to talk to you. Sometimes people bring in a spring that’s snapped from an old machine and ask if we can make a new one just like it. We have to measure it carefully and see if we have the right gauge of wire in the back. It’s honest work, even if our hands are always dirty. The neighborhood has changed a lot with new buildings coming up, but we just keep doing what we do. We don’t spend money on advertising or fancy catalogs. Most of our work comes from people who have been coming to us for years. It’s just a simple spring shop trying to keep the machines running for everyone else.
