Omkar Textiles has been sitting right here in Tobacco Bazar for a long time. Our shop is number 3-4-333, and if you’ve ever walked through this market, you know how crowded and lively it gets. Dealing with all sorts of fabrics and cloth materials is what we do every day. It’s a family-run kind of thing, mostly. My father was the one who started it, and now we just keep the doors open and the shelves stocked. The space isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. You have to watch your step because of the bolts of cloth sitting on the floor. Tobacco Bazar is a noisy place with people shouting and carts moving around, but the energy is good. We open up early and stay until the last person leaves. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just talk to people who come into the shop. Sometimes the lighting is a bit dim in the back, but we know where everything is stored. People come to us for their daily clothing needs or when they're planning a wedding. It’s steady work. We don’t do any big advertisements. Word of mouth is how most people find us. Usually, someone’s aunt or neighbor told them to come check out Shop 3-4-333. Keeping things simple is how we've always done things here in the bazaar. It just works for us.
