Climbing up to the third floor of Rajya Lakshmi Nilayam every morning keeps all of us fairly fit. We are located right across from the Hanuman temple in Tarbund, so we hear the bells ringing and the prayers going on all day long. It is a decent enough spot for the work we do, though moving heavy boxes up those stairs is always a bit of a pain for everyone. Inside the unit, it is mostly just big cutting tables and some storage racks. We spend a lot of our time sorting through different colors and checking the sizes are right. The windows stay open most of the time when it is not raining just to keep the dust from settling too much. There is a small fan near the back window that makes a loud clicking sound, but nobody has bothered to fix it yet. Most of the staff live nearby in the neighborhood, so the commute is not too bad. We start around nine and stay until the day's work is finished. Sometimes we stay quite late if there is a big pile of garments to finish up. The tea guy comes up the stairs once in the morning and once in the evening. It is just how things go for us here. We do not have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door. Most of the day is just the hum of the machines.
