Surya Crafts

You can find us at Plot No. 10 in Sheshachala Colony, over in West Marredpally. It’s a quieter area compared to the main roads, which is nice for the kind of work we do. We deal with crafts and handmade items. There is always a lot of wood shavings or bits of fabric lying around the floor. We try to sweep up at the end of the day, but by the next morning, the mess is back. It’s a creative space, so it’s never going to be perfectly neat. A big store window with lights isn't something we have here. It’s more of a workshop where we spend our time making things. Some of us have been working with our hands since we were kids. Most things are done by manual labor and patience rather than using big machines for everything. Neighbors often pop their heads in to see what we are working on this week. It’s a friendly vibe. An updated website isn't really our thing; we just focus on the items on our benches. If you walk past, you might hear the sound of a hammer or a saw. We like the pace here in West Marredpally. It’s steady work. We aren't trying to change the world, just making some nice things for people to have in their homes. That’s really all there is to Surya Crafts. We like it this way.
