Sri Sai Furniture Works

Sri Sai Furniture Works is a small workshop located near the IG Statue in Alwal, at Door No. 1-5-128/1. If you come by, you’ll see us working with wood most of the day. The place is usually full of sawdust and the smell of fresh timber and glue. We make all kinds of things like wooden tables, chairs, and cupboards for people’s homes. It’s a messy environment with planks of wood leaning against the walls and tools all over the benches, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a showroom with fancy lights; people just come to the workshop to tell us what they need or to show us a sketch. We’ve been in Alwal for a long time and have worked for many of the families around here. Sometimes we take on repair jobs too, like fixing an old door or a broken bed frame. It’s just a couple of us doing the manual labor ourselves. We use simple tools and take our time to make sure the joints are tight and the finish is okay. It’s not a fast process, especially when the weather is humid and the varnish takes forever to dry. We work from early morning until it gets dark. It’s honest, practical work and it keeps us busy. Most people find us just by walking past the statue.
