Sri Laxmi Sarees

We are situated at Plot No 406 in the Huda colony area, right near the Manjeera X Road in Chanda Nagar. Sri Laxmi Sarees has been sitting here for a good while now. The shop is filled with rows and rows of sarees tucked into cubbies. We spend a lot of time just pulling them out and folding them back up correctly. If you don't fold them right, they get wrinkled, and then nobody wants them. The air in the shop usually smells a bit like new cloth and incense. We get a lot of local ladies from the colony walking in during the afternoon when it’s a bit quieter. Chanda Nagar is a busy place, but Huda colony feels a little different once you get off the main road. We keep the doors open to let some air in, though that means we have to dust the shelves more often than we would like. It’s a simple life running a saree shop. We don’t have any fancy displays with lights that flash or anything corporate. We just have our stock and a couple of stools for people to sit on while they look at colors. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy, but customers still find their way to us. We just take it one day at a time, making sure we have enough variety for whenever someone needs something for a wedding or just for home use.
